Casting temperature refers to the average metal liquid temperature when entering the mold cavity from the pressure chamber. It is usually expressed by the temperature in the holding furnace.
The casting temperature is too high, the alloy shrinkage is large, the casting is prone to crack, the casting grains are thick, and brittle.
Casting temperature too low, easy to produce cold separation, surface flow and casting defects.
At higher pressure, the pouring temperature should be reduced.
Aluminum alloy segregation mainly segregation and inverse segregation.There are preventive measures such as: intragranular segregation: refine grain; increase the rate of diffusion of solute atoms in the melt during crystallization; reduce and control the crystallization rate. Reverse segregation: increase the cooling intensity, the use of short crystallization tank; appropriate increase in casting temperature; uniform flow diversion using a suitable casting funnel; grain refinement.
